The commune of Hergiswil has equipped its Schönegg reservoir with a new water treatment plant commissioned in November 2008 and with a capacity of 110 m3/h. The multi-barrier treatment chain ultrafiltration – activated carbon filtration – UV disinfection is a first for Switzerland.
