Aggressive water can be the source of corrosion problems in water networks. Membratec offers various treatment solutions, tailored to water characteristics and the affected water network to restore the carbonate equilibrium and thus prevent potential corrosion-related problems.

CO2 removal by membrane stripping is a new process implemented by Membratec as a solution do corrosion problems. This technology has proven to be very effective, with low running costs and high operational safety, as no reagent dosing is required.

This very compact technology allows the removal of excess CO2 from water, by passing it through a membrane contactor that is impermeable to water but permeable to gas. Degassing is achieved by bringing the water to be treated into contact with atmospheric air by means of this membrane contactor (CO2 stripping).
