1997

Formation of Membratec SA, based in Sierre. From its beginning the company develops its activities in the drinking water treatment domain.

2000

Commissioning of the first ultrafiltration plant in Switzerland, in Thyon 2000.

2004

Partnership agreement with Sogea-Construction (now Vinci Construction France) for the French market.

2004

The Prix Sommet 2004, following the theme "from audacity to success" and meant to reward an innovative company from the Valais canton, is awarded to Membratec SA.

2006

Commissioning of the Zermatt reverse osmosis plant, the first application of membrane technology for water softening in Switzerland.

2006

The AquaPro 2006 Innovation Prize delivered at a fair for water professionals, is awarded to Membratec due to the realisation of the first centralised water softening plant in the country.

2006

Commissioning of a  300 m3/h ultrafiltration plant in Annemasse, France, in partnership with Vinci Construction France

2008

Construction of a bench-scale pilot plant for assessing the membrane fouling potential of surface water. Link

2008

Contract for a 1'500 m3/h treatment plant, together with Vinci Construction France, for the Rouen-Moulineaux agglomeration.

2009

More than 30 treatment plants with varying capacity have been commissioned.

2011

Rehab of the Gonelles drinking water treatment plant in Vevey (CH), with a capacity of 1'800 m3/h. A complex treatment chain allowing in particular a reduction of organic micropollutants such as pesticides.

2011

Development of an emergency treatment unit for water supply in the event of a crisis. Link

2012

ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and Valais Excellence certification.

2013

Membratec SA currently boasts over 50 ultrafiltration plants.

2015

Commissioning of the first ultrafiltration plant in the canton of Ticino for the commune of Lodrino.

2017

Membratec SA celebrates its 20th anniversary.
